I have been a patient of Dr Lawin for about 7 years. I cannot say enough good things about her. She has healed me every time I have had an issue. She is very understanding and compassionate towards her patients. I think she is the best in the field. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to have a Dr as good as she is.

The WORST bedside manner from any physician I have ever been in contact with. Would not recommend her to anyone. Switched to Capitol Orthopedics. Never regretted the decision to change.

I saw Dr. Lawin for plantar fasciitis. At first, I didn't follow her regiment and she read me the riot act. After following her treatment plan I got better quickly. I then took both my daughters to see her. They followed her instructions, sitting out on sports activities due to a broken foot and were quickly back at it without any problems. Would highly recommend.

Like most people I log into review sites when I'm angry; however, this review is LONG overdue. Dr. Lawin is an amazing doctor. I've had foot problems for-ever and a friend recommend Dr. Lawin and I decided to see her. She offered two options non surgical and surgical. I chose non surgical. It was a longer road but in the end I'm walking around without problems. I even went to Disney World and walked which means stood in lines all day without problems. Can't recommend her highly enough.

Our experience with Dr Lawin was a nightmare. She will see u the first time before surgery since she wants your business and after surgery she vanishes in thin air. She does not even see the patients parents to update on the surgery as to how it went. She will not tell even is something went wrong in there. That's it , poof! She is gone, there on you see her assistants who are good for nothing but guard their boss from us. I would never recommend her to my worst enemy!!!!

Beware that if you go into Urgent Care at MS Sports Medicine and choose Dr. Lawin for your care, you will be assigned to her physician's assistant. Also, once you begin with the physician's assistant, they will not allow you to see Dr. Lawin. She is down in name only and doesn't see the patient. Scheduling is a nightmare there, the staff who makes appts. (Lauren) is rude and unaccommodating, and Medicare patients are definitely not welcome here. You are treated like a second class citizen.

I had an unpleasant experience on June 9,2016 seeing Dr. Penny Lawin. I have NEVER had a doctor behave so unprofessionally!! I talked with the CEO of the Sports Center to let him know about "Penny". She doesn't have TIME for her patients or answering questions they might have.....even after driving 125 miles for the appointment. I would NOT recommend her to my worst enemy!! She needs to take an extended vacation and/ or take an early retirement!! Go to another foot/ankle doctor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had her recommended surgery without a 2nd opinion. It failed, and she wanted to do it again. I went to Oshner and Campbell clinics for advice on 2nd surgery. Neither agreed with Dr. Lawin, and one wondered why the 1st surgery was done. She may be a good MD but sees way too many patients to give you her 100% attention. if you have a complicated problem, I suggest you go to UMMC or out of town.
