Did surgery on me for colorectal cancer then acted as if he did not know me. Ignored me enough that I had a complication that he did not catch until 8 weeks after surgery. My ureters had ruptured and there was 5000 mL of urine in my abdomen. After this he seemed not to want to even see me let alone talk to me. He did not care one bit about the permanent damage that was done to me. He even stated he did not have anything to do with what was wrong with me! Took zero responsibility!

In 2011 I had a Laparoscopic total colectomy with creation of a J-pouch. Dr. Wise was awesome. I would recommend him for this procedure that changed my life. He went into detail and explained the procedure and made sure I understood all the complications relative to the procedure.

This man gave me my life back. I seriously cannot say enough good things about him. I went into surgery on May 12th, 2010 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and he performed a multilayer advancement flap with sphincteroplasty surgery to repair my obstetric fistula. As of this year, I have been healed 6 years. I am thankful every day to Dr. Wise. He treated me with care, compassion, and dignity. I highly recommend him, and am so thankful that I was fortunate to have him as my surgeon.
