About Me

Care Philosophy

I appreciate that undergoing an operation is a stressful, sometimes terrifying, circumstance. My goal is to create trust and give patients the time and education that they need to feel comfortable with the situation and plan. I believe that educating patients is just as important as my role of educator of students, residents, and fellows.

My ureters had ruptured and there was 5000 mL of urine in my abdomen. After this he seemed not to want to even see me let...Read More

In 2011 I had a Laparoscopic total colectomy with creation of a J-pouch. Dr. Wise was awesome. I would recommend him for this procedure that changed my life. He went into detail and explained the procedure and made sure I understood all the complications relative to the procedure.
