Repaired my extremely large hiatal hernia
Thanks to Dr. Vesco's skills I feel like I got my life back. I had a very very large hiatal hernia that had allowed my stomach to attach to one lung making breathing difficult with any type of exertion. Dr. Vesco was able to repair it using minimally invasive surgery. I had previously been told it was too large to repair using this type of surgery. Because of what I had read and been told about potential problems and side effects, I was very hesitant to have the surgery. Dr. Vesco took time to answer our questions and explain his expertise in this area. He gained the confidence of myself and my husband. The surgery and recovery went very well. I highly recommend him.

I was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis in March of 2020 CT Scan showed a mass on my thymus gland. Dr Vesco performed a Thymectomy on me in April. OMG , this guy is a Rock Star - he robotically removed my gland along with the mass using only 3 small holes Absolutely no pain , in and out of the hospital in 3 days and walking the beach on the fourth. Don’t bother looking elsewhere ( outside Sarasota ) for a better surgeon , this guy is the real deal. Thank you Dr Vesco , your entire staff and Sarasota Memorial Hospital ????

After several unsuccessful procedures to correct atrial fibrillation, I had the good fortune of meeting Dr. Vesco. Last June, Dr. Vesco put my heart back in rhythm. After 81/2 months I've still got rhythm, I've still got rhythm! I wish there was an adequate way to thank this great doctor for giving me the gift of a longer life!

In February 2019 Dr Vesco removed a large portion of my left lung in order to remove a cancer tumour which was very close to my Aorta. I have no cancer in my body, one year later. I do not need a inhaler and I do Zumba twice a week. My breathing is almost normal. I am delighted with the outcome. Dr Vesco is very informative from day 1. You know exactly what to expect. What high class surgeon.

My experience with Dr. Vesco was the best anyone could have. He is compassionate, kind, caring and demands his patients be treated the best they can while in the hospital. He always has time to stop and talk, reassure and share any news he has concerning your health. He has an awesome side of him that can make you laugh, yet take time to listen when you cry. He gave me hope for the future. He is a gentle giant whom I love and admire very much. I would recommend him to anyone.
