Dr Tuite is a brilliant man, but horrible communicator. After years of being diagnosed with ataxia and myoclonus by doctors at Mayo Clinic in the 90s I followed up in the Twin Cities at the U. I found out my diagnosis in a blood test report & sent to a website for information. No time for questions or explanations. Like I said, he is good at what he does, but horrible at taking questions or explaining. Belongs in research not with people.

Horrible experience, a waste of time, energy, emotion and resources. Waited 3 months and wasted 3 months and still not diagnosed. I have seen other medical professionals at the U of M and they were top notch. I hope clinic administration sees this and does something about it; the University is in competition with the Mayo Clinic and their professors don't act like this.

Professional, kind unmatched expertise. Diamond my essential tremor at 19 and treated me for years before I moved out of state. I have not found his match so I will see him on my next trip to MN.

Similar to previous post was hoping for an insightful visit since it took over 2 months to see him. He was not dressed professionally, was rude, degrading and honestly not helpful at all. Treated me very disrespectfully. I would especially warn potential patients whose movement disorders were medication related to not see him even though the website says that is his specialty. Just look at u of ms national neurology ranking (which isnt even ranked) and then see Dr. Tuite and you understand

Dr. Tuite spent no more than 10 minutes with us, was rushed, rude and impatient during the appt. Very frustrating, considering we anticipated this appt for 2 months and to be treated with such indifference was extremely disheartening.
