Outstanding Doctor
Dr Thambi has treated me for 18 years. His medical knowledge coupled with his attentiveness to the total patient are exceptional. Heis empathetic and acton oriented. He has gone so far as to suggest seeking 2nd opinions just to put the patient's mind at ease as to his recommended course of action. A true gentleman and 1st class representative of his profession.
Paul Thambi is a wonderful physician. He respects his patients, takes time with them, addresses their concerns, makes them feel that they are part of the treatment team. And most importantly, in my case developed a treatment plan that was successful in resolving my problem.
Dr. Thambi was very patient. He explained concepts clearly, he listened attentively, and he answered our questions. We never felt like we were being rushed. Dr. Thambi even called us to arrange for a procedure when he was on vacation.
We have been very pleased with the care he provides.
I have been seeing Dr. Thambi since January 2017, at which time I was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. We waited and watched the disease progress until September of 2018 when chemoimmunotherapy was started. I responded well to the treatment and began IVIG in June of 2019 to boost my broken immune system. The medical team has been great to work with and I am grateful for their experienced care.
Dr Thambi, since I first met him in the hospital has been nothing but professional, friendly and caring. He greets you with a smile, listens to his patients concerns and addresses them so that you can understand them. I am very fortunate that he is my Oncologist.

Wonderful experience with Maryland Oncology Hematology. The services I have received (8 years in a row) from Dr. Thambi is excellent. Wonderful experience with Dr. Thambi at every appointment (5 - 6 appointments/year for more than 8 yrs.). Dr. Thambi is a person with outstanding quality of medical care.
