I highly recommend Dr. Salinas. I had 360 lumbar fusion in mid-December 2020. My sciatic nerve pain was gone instantly. I was up and walking the day of the surgery. I only had to stay in the hospital 1 night. I was concerned with needing to have spine surgery and did a lot of research and reading reviews. Dr. Salinas stood out in the reviews--higher number of positive reviews, higher number of surgeries performed, higher number of hospital affiliations than any other neurosurgeon in the Frisco, Tx area. The staff at Frisco Spine are all very caring and personable. Before, Dr. Salinas ordered physical therapy and steroid injections, but those did little to relieve my sciatic nerve pain in my right leg. The recovery after surgery was not as bad as I had anticipated. I only needed 1 night of the morphine IV pump in the hospital, and just a couple of nights of hydrocodone once I was home. Acetaminophen was my primary pain reliever for a few weeks afterward, slowly reducing the dosage.

I’ve been going to Dr Salinas for 3 years now and I couldn’t love it anymore!!!!! He is awesome and so is his staff! Regardless the time of day I call they always call me right back and tell me exactly what to do! (Granted it most of the time results me to going to the hospital and a surgery following) He eases all of my concerns and worries! I wouldn’t pick anyone else to do it brain surgeries ??

Dr. Salinas and his team provided excellent care throughout my surgery and post surgery visit. He and his staff thoroughly explained the necessity of the surgery and the procedure itself. I was very pleased with the surgery results. I am recovering and feeling so much better.

I have never felt as though a doctor cared about me less than I feel Dr. Salinas cares for me. Not only is he 1.5-2 hours late to EVERY appointment I’ve ever had with him, he only spends on average three minutes in the room. He failed to explain all the risks involved in my surgery, and he downplayed the seriousness of it. He made it seem like a fairly minor operation when it was extremely invasive. He told me I would be left with a 2-3 inch scar, not a 10.5 inch scar. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to Dr. Salinas. If he would spend more time with his patience, TRY to be even close to on time, and actually explain the procedures in depth, then maybe I would have more positive things to say. However, seeing Dr. Salinas has been nothing but problems for me. His after surgery care is also extremely lacking. Ones he’s done slicing into you and has made his money, you mean NOTHING to him. I would look elsewhere and use him as a last resort.

Dr Salinas is an egotistical evil man that performs surgery that should not be performed in the first place. He will take advantage of you and betray you if you have good insurance. I have heard from other physicians and staff that he is not a good person. Run as far as you can away from this dr. Do not let him ruin your life like he did mine. I now suffer from pain on a daily. Amongst other things.

Excellent physician, and surgeon. He performed a craniotomy on my husband for brain cancer and many physicians have committed on his skills. Has become one of our favorites. Dr. Salinas has an excellent staff that he believes in.
