Excellent doctor with clear and understandable explanation of his diagnosis and treatment suggestions. Only complaint is that of the 6-7 appointments over the past several years 3-4 have been chronically late in terms of start of the scheduled appointment time until actual exam commencement. Wonderful doc that I would highly recommend but the scheduling has obviously been an issue for me. Otherwise it would have been a 5 star.

After another doctor said to wait, I was having trouble with halos and diverging lines. Dr Petelin said no extras needed. I now have perfect vision beyond two feet, and perfect closer with glasses. Cataracts on both eyes done. House is now white not green. Great doctor.

The office manager is so unhelpful, she is more worried about her "health with pyramid scheme " then my eye health! I could hear the staff gathered at the desk being extremely unprofessional talking about this product in coffee waiting area. When Im in my Eye doctors office I don't want to see Protein shakes unless they are going to be recommended by Dr to Improve my eye health.

This was the WORST experience ever with an Opthamologist. I waited 1hr. and 40 minutes! The waiting room packed. If you want quality, then this is the WRONG place to go. Felt like a cattle call. "Techs" did the majority of the exam including the refractory for my glasses. Finally got to see Dr. Petelin after waiting 40min in a exam room and this was after the "techs" were done. I saw him a total of 8 minutes......(I checked my watch) Petelin seemed to care less about me, on to next. TERRIBLE!!!
Dr. Petelin is a specialist and when a patient is faced with a problem he tends to sit in the room and explain in detail with the patients and their family. Our technicians are certified to do retractions and most of the testing is done by a tech when you see an Ophthalmologist. When you see an Optometrist they specialize in glasses and contacts so they are the ones that usually do the refraction. I hope this helps you understand our process.

Dr. Petelin restored my husband's vision after another two other surgeons botched his procedures. His eyesight was 20/15 the day after the surgery!
