We found Dr Olson to be very helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable about my mother's very difficult heart problem (including high anxiety...that might go with that). Shut the door from distracting noise and really listened and had a good discussion about her case. Her incision is perfect. No infections. Device appears to be placed properly and doing what it's supposed to be doing. Expectations managed well. On task. Well done. Thanks for helping my mom!

I was referred to this cardiologist by someone who works in the field and is knowledgeable about heart doctors in Sioux Falls. In my initial consult (I was transferring from Sanford to Avera) I found him to be excellent in explaining my condition and very thorough in my exam. He had studied my chart from my Sanford physicians and made some adjustments to my pacemaker settings. Overall I liked him very much.

Dr Paul Olson of North Central Heart is a cardiologist and electrophysiologist. However, I found he does very little by way of reviewing of patient charts prior to the office visits. He is ill prepared, has to look up general stuff, and overall does not take time to address patient concerns. This doctor is NOT recommended.
