I have a long history of UTI's. Dr. Nguyen was able to get my UTI's under control. He was very empathetic and took the time to make sure all my questions had been answered.

Dr. Nguyen performed the Rezum procedure on me on June 11th 2020. I have been to his office to have 6 catheters installed and he has yet to see me himself. Today I had an appointment at Mayo Clinic with a Urologist because I still cannot urinate following my Rezum procedure. I had a Urodynamic and Volume Study along with a Cystoscopy and Prostate scan. It was determined I have to have a laser treatment to remove the damage done and the part of the prostate that was never treated with the steam. It turns out the Urologist at Mayo said I never should have been a candidate for the Rezum in the first place. Dr. Nguyen would never get my recommendation. On two of my visits to have catheterization I could hear him talking to the nurse in the hall and after knowing my struggles from the procedure he never even came in to see me. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

The arrogance/way I was treated as I attempted to make an appointment was very unprofessional. My primary had sent a referral. I called to ask if the referral was received. The response was if we had received a referral we would have called you. I called my primary and asked them to resend and to verify the fax number. The fax number was correct in the referrals recent. The second call received a similar response. I contacted my primary again. They resent and followed up with a phone call. The response they got was, oh yes, we got a couple of those; however we sent them back because there was no medical card attached. Even though it is inconvenient, I will drive to the Valley rather than deal with the arrogance at this location.

I was just turned away from an appointment after being told that I needed a referral. I had called days ahead of the appointment to ask about this and they said that I didn't need one. When I got to the office they had an insurance company on file that I had 2 years ago, which is what they based their assessment on. Although Dr. Nguyen is very good, his office staff is abismall. Not just one blunder, but multiple. Now unfortunately, I have to find another Urologist.

I think he is competent but I haven't sought second opinions after my last 5 months under his care. He was completely indifferent to my fears about cancer and left nearly all aspects of personal care to his nurses and office staff. When I asked questions, his response was minimal and perfunctory. He has never looked me in the eye and talked to me directly about my worries. In my 75 years, this is my worst medical experience and I don't think he cares. My recommendation: Find other options.

Dr. Nguyen called me himself, to let me know that my test results were in and to schedule my consultation appointment. He's very attentive. During the appointment he thoroughly explained the treatment options for my Prostate Cancer. He made it easy for me and my wife to understand as he answered all our questions. He performed surgery to remove my prostate 5 weeks ago. The surgery went very well. No Surprises. Great results. Great recovery. I am truly blessed that he is my Doctor.

I do not recommend Dr. Nguyen. My complaint was frequent urinations at night: he diagnosed me with enlarged prostate recommending TURP (Transuretral Resection of Prostate). After the surgery I was give a pain killer and the antibiotic Ciprofloxasin which Hospital release papers warned of possible injury to leg tendons and not recommended for patients over 60 (I was 83). After several days I developed severe pain in hamstrings of both legs and right foot Dr. Nguyed had me stop the Cipro, but

After reading my husbands tests, he told him (in a cold) way that his cancer had metastasized and he was not a surgical candidate especially at his age (78). He said to go home and call hospice and then left the room. His attitude was very upsetting to my husband and to me. He has no people skills, maybe because he is from Vietnam.

Pleasant. Professional. Has an agenda. You do it his way or not at all. Required a opainful test which I had taken some years ago. I want to try and avoid this test so I declined. I made requests to find a way to examine my needs. Never heard fro him. Don't neede a doctor I can't talk to or is totally closed to all but his own needs.
