Dr. Loar has been my surgeon, oncologist and gynecologist since I was first diagnosed with uterine cancer in 2013. He is an expert in his specialty but is also one of the kindest people I know. He listens to his patients and answers questions to things you want to know but does not overburden you to the point of being overwhelmed. He has managed to either give me years of remission or manage the cancer so I could have quality time with family and friends and I remain relatively active and overall in good health even through numerous treatments. He has an outstanding team that are there to respond to your questions and concerns.

Dr. Loar is very easy to talk to and always takes the time to discuss any concerns with me. He hasn't been hesitant about referring me to specialists out of his field when required. Dr. Loar also has a great P.A.

I am very happy with my care and treatment at all of the Texas Oncology offices I go to. Dr. Loar is my main Doctor and I feel comfortable and cared for during my visits. My chemo appointments are comfortable and pleasant. I feel cared for by all the staff. All my questions and concerns are answered and anyone that I have talked to takes real time to talk to me. I have talked to several of my friends that use your facilities and they all say the same. My friends ask questions and I tell them how happy I am with Texas Oncology and Dr. Loar.

Most people cringe at the idea of revisiting memories of our own cancer....looks, voices, responses are all remembered through the fog of fear at what's going on in my body that I cannot see. My care, vis-a-vis Dr. Loar, assuaged my initial fears. He was kind .... at the right times he was even humorous .... always he was efficient and I believed in him ..... so I did what he told me to do. He helped me believe that I would be well......and I am. Can't ask for more than that in a physician.

Dr. Loar & his team are the most extraordinary group of healthcare professionals I’ve ever met. Every effort is given to the patient’s comfort and safety. Each member works in unison with the others to facilitate a proven treatment plan that saves lives. They’re well educated with unique skill sets, all of them are personable and caring. My cancer treatments have not been a hardship because of the team personality that made this process of healing as easy and comfortable as stopping by to see friends.

Healing isn’t a hardship here. – Nov 01, 2020
I went to see Dr Loar when results of a biopsy showed cancer cells. He recommended a hysterectomy and had high hopes we had caught the cancer early enough to forgo chemo & radiation. Well, the results showed I needed additional treatment. Dr Loar called me personally to realy the news and spent the time on the phone to discuss my treatment and our next steps. i find him to be very personable, kind and caring.
