Dr. Hazelrig Jr.'s Care Philosophy

I have had the privilege of practicing Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in San Mateo for over 39 years. My philosophy of medicine has always been to put my patient's interests above my own and to treat my patients as I would want my family members or myself to be treated. I strongly believe that conservative or non-operative treatment should be the initial goal of treatment, before considering surgical intervention. When surgery is indicated I offer the latest form of treatment for Joint Replacement of the knee and hip, as well as arthroscopic surgery for the knee and wrist. I am always striving for excellence in everything I do and if I feel their is another specialist who can render treatment better than myself, I have no hesitation in referring my patient to that doctor for care.
