He completed a general surgery residency at the University of Connecticut Health Center and a cardiothoracic surgery residency at New York University School of Medicine. He also completed a cardiothoracic surgery research fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.He serves as co-chair for our Medical Staff Quality committee and chair of our Robotic Steering Committee, Atrial Fibrillation Working Group and Thoracic Oncology Working Group.Dr. DiGiorgi serves as a Lee Health Foundation board member, council member for Florida Society of Thorcic & Cardiovascular Surgeons and lead physician for LPG Cardiothoracic Surgery. Dr. Digiorgi is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He serves as the Cardiothoracic Surgery Section Chief and the Medical Co-Chair for our Medical Staff Quality Committee.
