After three previous total knee replacements and spending 6 years of not being able to fully straighten my leg, instead having to actually walk on my toes of the right foot and being told by the previous surgeon that there was nothing that could be done and that another surgery was not possible Dr Courtney looked at the xrays and immediately determined a course of action I am now just a little over two months past Dr Courtney’s surgery, walking very normal, both feet flat on the ground, without any assistance from a cane. Yes, I have pain, but Dr. Courtney is also looking into the possible causes of the pain and providing treatment. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Courtney to anyone

I went to four other surgeons who wouldn’t operate on my knee after a failed surgery. Dr. Courtney listened to me and knew exactly how to get me walking again! Thank you!!!

Horrible experience. Had TKR at Rothman and still in pain over 10 months out. Original surgeon had sent me to Dr. Courtney who examined me for less than 5 minutes, told me I had CRPS (suicide disease it is called due to intense pain which I did not have). Sent me to pain clinic who laughed at idea I had that and even asked me who told me that. Then put erroneous statements in his medical records, stating I reported 10 on pain scale, failed physical therapy, was in exquisite pain none of which was true. Will never go to Rothman again. Have to continue in pain for a year before can see about revision elsewhere. Knee is a million times worse than before surgery; biggest mistake I ever made.

Dr. Courtney was very kind, and took the time I needed to get comfortable. This was my first time seeing him as I was a patient of Dr. Rothman, who passed away. I liked him, and when it's time for my next visit I will request him.

I was satisfied with Dr. Courtney. I go a quick appointment and my office visit was almost perfect. Dr. Courtney show me both of my x rays and explained to me the actual damage in my knees .He also explained to me that I was a candidate for partial knee replacement which I never knew in my many years of having knee problems. I forgot to ask him if I did any damage this time and when I can return to work. I asked the nurse and she when and talk to him and got my answers. He was friendly and I am please that he will be my new orthopedic doctor. I left happy to know that now I have another option beside the shots in my knee. Great office first visit !!!....Tank you.

Dr. Courtney fixed a bad femur break involving a prior hip replacement. I'm thankful he was available, and I'm on track for 100% recovery. But what is most striking, Dr. Courtney really seems to care about his patients. He comes for post-op, he comes for the follow-ups, he answers your questions, and he gives you confidence in your recovery. I tip my hat.

I unfortunately have been exposed to quite a lot of surgeons . And while trying to find a very specialize hip replacement surgeon where the previous 5 I had seen turned me down flat claiming that it was way beyond there abilities. I just by chance was referred to this doctor by my general doctor who had just joined Capital health . I will tell you in the most simplest terms I can here. This doctor and his nurse practitioner saved my life! And gave me the opportunity To live a normal life !
