Recognized by Texas Monthly as an expert in shoulder surgery, he also specializes in treatment of knee and elbow conditions. He treats school age to professional athletes but is also dedicated to improving the quality of life of their families' injuries. He also has a special interest in Autologous Cartilage Implantation. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Texas Orthopaedic Association and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Wupperman joined Azalea from the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama, an area known nationally and internationally for work with some of the most high profile athletes in sports."

I am 41 years old. Dr Wupperman fixed my left rotator cuff, complete tear, in Oct of 2016. It is now Aug of 2017, less than a year later, and I am benching 225 for reps, and dumbell pressing 100# dumbells for reps and have ZERO pain. In fact, the shoulder he fixed is better than my other...more

Dr. Wupperman is a great doctor!! I have seen two different times for injuries & was very pleased with him. He is very nice & polite, he even will kid around with you. He cares about his patients!! I will definitely use him again if needed & refer family & friends to him.
