Dr. Kay's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Kay "As a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, I enjoy the variety that orthopedics provides me and am most satisfied when my patients are happy with the results of their treatment. I specialize in joint replacement and sports medicine. I chose my specialties because of my father's influence. My father was a family physician in a small town and treated a wide variety of conditions, but he especially enjoyed treating orthopedic injuries and conditions. I focus on joint replacement and sports medicine because it provides me with the opportunity to relieve my patients' pain and give them the chance to live an active lifestyle or compete at their highest possible level. In my free time, I enjoy reading, swimming, biking, skiing and golf."

Dr. Kay was very personable and explained the procedure thoroughly in easy to understand language. He took his time and allowed us to ask questions about every aspect from surgery through recovery and physical therapy. I would highly recommend him for anyone facing a shoulder surgery.
