Dr Domkowski considers it a tremendous blessing to help people regain their lives and undergo bariatric surgery. He believes it is a privilege to take care of people during difficult times in their life such a newly diagnosed cancer or other problem requiring a significant surgery.
Dr. Domkowski has been practicing for over twelve years in Central Florida. He has treated thousands of people with obesity disease. He is passionate about helping people regain their health and mobility that this disease takes away. Dr Domkowski currently serves as the Chairman of Surgery at Sebastian River Medical Center and is also on the Executive Board for the State ASMBS Chapter.
Dr. Domkowski has attended some of our nation's most prestigious universities for his post graduate education. He matriculated and completed his medical and graduate school at Georgetown University Medical School, obtaining his M.D. and Ph.D. He then went on to do his surgical training at Duke University Medical Center, completing his internship, residency and research fellowship.
Dr. Domkowski is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as a fellow of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons. He has also previously served as chief of surgery and chief of staff in one of the area hospitals. He is currently the medical director of Riverside Surgical & Weight Loss Center. His passion and calling are helping people to eliminate obesity disease and regain their lives, health and well-being. He considers doing this a tremendous privilege. Dr. Domkowski routinely performs laparoscopic gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomies, and duodenal switch surgeries. He also enjoys complex revisional bariatric surgery as well.
