Terrible experience, insensitive and rude. Wasted large amounts of time and attempted to upsell me on unnecessary procedures. Also fills your ear with his fringe political views if you have the misfortune of being around him. Lengthy wait times to boot.

After spending $6,000 dollars on multi focal lenses I haven't been able to see clearly and find it impossible to see Dr. Danaher. Finally, I got an appointment for 10:00. I looked for parking space for 10 minutes & thought I was early. I checked in & was told it was 9:15. NOT TRUE. They need the automated appt verification. This is my 3 unsuccessful attempt to see him. Be cautious of getting these lenses. Follow up is not a strong point with this doctor.
in Mt. Pleasant, PA |
He and Glaucoma-Cataract Consultants only care about money and what they can get out of you. Expected to be paid twice for one eye (once for initial surgery, then again to correct his mistakes). Office staff said that it should not matter to me, once deductible satisfied, it wouldn't cost me anything! Unconcerned about impacts of surgeries and mistakes on patient life, work, health, or pain. He is dismissive and aloof, only about the money, untrustworthy. Some staff caring, others rude.
in Scottdale, PA |
Terrible doctor. Dr. Danaher messed up the first (only) surgery he performed on me. He didn't remove all the lens fragments he made in my left eye and he placed a new implant over them, rendering me unable to see out of that eye. He said 60 second surgery to correct, not an emergency, scheduled me 4 weeks after! He was dismissive, disdainful, and would still be paid to correct his mistake! Greedy, about money, not patients. I left, found another practice, they fixed me in hospital days later
in Pittsburgh, PA |
Dr. Danaher chose personal profit over patient care when he strongly encouraged me to pay an additional $4000.00 to have him implant multi-focal lenses rather than monovision as my optometrist recommended and I had planned to get. He promised great results even though I had had LASIK which made the procedure more difficult. My vision was 20/20 is now 20/40 and I need +2 readers as before, still have halos etc. from lights at night. He refuses to do anything to help. DO NOT TRUST HIM!
