About Me

THE PATIENT EXPERIENCE RATINGS ARE BASED ON A PREVIOUS PRACTICE
After many years of practicing both Obstetrics and Gynecology, I decided to focus exclusively on Gynecology. I have been studying Integrative and Functional Medicine and applying the methods learned to my Gynecology practice.  I do NOT prescribe hormonal contraception due to concern for risks and due to my religious beliefs

I saw this doctor when she still worked in Southborough Massachusetts she was horrible not once did she ever listen to me. She was very judgmental and said nothing was wrong with me I just had a very low pain tolerance. Which has never been the case! I had to beg in plead with her to do a surgery to confirm I had endometriosis. She told me I was too young there was no way I had this. So months went by of her changing my birth control pills saying o this one will be better. As my pain got worse I had to bring my mother in to convince this lady that she needed to do more and I needed the surgery. She finally agreed and well surprise to her only I had endometriosis in fact my appendix was coated in it as well. She did a horrible job in the surgery leaving my appendix still in! After that surgery I never went back to her! She is the reason when I am going to the doctors I just shut down with anxiety she made me feel horrible when my body was already doing that on it’s own.

Not only does she not prescribe hormonal birth control, she will not prescribe the copper IUD. Her office does NOT make this clear before the appointment and I had no idea (I did not see her bio on this website beforehand). In addition, I found Dr. Jay to have a judgemental attitude, and when I received a positive STI result for the first time in my life, her response was, verbatim, "No surprises there". I'm not one to be shaken by docs, or write reviews. Just wanted to offer this up.

Who ever is interested in and willing to explore and understand gynecological issues more holistic way, is in the right place with doctor Jay! She does not focus on only the problem but also the reason behind it. Even on my first visit I experienced a very nice combination of western medicine and holistic / alternative point of view. Thank you!
