Everett, MA |
Dr Hopkins is a fantastic doctor but the office staff seem bothered by patient interactions. They don't respond to pharmacy requests for refills and the wait time can be as high as 2 hours without any notice or update.

After being sick for eighteen months, I complained to Doctor Hopkins about the lack of care that I was getting. She said her mother died, she has too many patients, and she can retire if she wants to. She did nothing for me. Her assistant, Maura Hines, was the only one that offered any help. This office does not return calls. I can't walk, talk and only have the use of one eye. Possible diagnosis myasthenia gravis. I am filing formal charges against her. She is the worst doctor I have ever seen.

It's tough because I've had outstanding experiences with Dr. Hopkins but her assistants and office staff are just terrible. They seem really unhappy and put off whenever they need to do anything other than just sit there. They communicate poorly around making appts and changes in appts (usually takes months to get in) and have actually changed my appt visit to another doctor without even telling me. They ignore pharmacy requests for refills (you have to call) but don't tell you or pharmacy.

Dr. Hopkins prescribed powerful drug therapiesto 2 relatives and a friend of mine based on multiple diagnoses for the same condition -diff drug regimens for 1 cond. The health of each declined under her care, and 2 became dependent on the in-office drug treatments. The 3rd died while under her care, and WebMD info shows the drug she was on caused that kind of death when used too long. In the office, Dr. Hopkins focuses more on her own life and needs than those of her patients. NOT recommended.

Dr Hopkins is one of the smartest doctors I have known. Very thoughtful, thorough and treats you as a whole system and not just one particular issue. Her office staff could use a lot of training in NOT hating their jobs though.
After waiting 1.5 hours for my appointment with no apologies for the delay from doctor or staff the doctor was n it prepared for our meeting and did not have records.
