Dr. Pamela Kinder is almost a Colorado native, since her family moved to Arvada in 1966. She attended Arvada West HS, then studied two years at CSU before coming to Denver to complete her Biology degree at CU Denver. She waitressed at two different restaurants to put herself through school. Ready to experience a different area of the country after graduation, Dr. Kinder relocated to Washington, D.C. to work for a year before starting medical school. Dr. Kinder loved the area, so she applied to and was accepted at Georgetown University. She stayed another year to do her internal medicine internship at the Washington Hospital Center but by then, she was ready to be back in the west. Fortune intervened when Dr. Kinder was accepted to the University of Utah Neurology Residency program, where she met her husband while rotating at the VA hospital in Salt Lake City. Following their residencies, they moved directly to Craig, CO, and grew their internal medicine/family practice and neurology practices in that area, while raising two children. Dr. Kinder is excited to be back in the Denver metro area, and to have this opportunity to work with a respected and growing neurology group. Dr. Kinder and her husband also look forward to leisurely travel, due to their proximity to DIA. Though missing the Zirkel wilderness, Dr. Kinder plans to expand her hiking, snowshoeing and skiing to other Colorado mountain ranges.
