Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Johnson "I am very interested in educating my patients about their medical conditions so that they learn how to best care for themselves.  I try to spend as much time with my patients as possible, listening to their concerns & answering their questions to give them the best medical care possible.

I have a special interest & training in preventative medicine & women's health. My philosophy is that it is better to prevent illness than to treat it.  Because of my OB/GYN training at Duke University Center, I provide well-women exams, pre-pregnancy & early pregnancy care, along with infertility evaluations & treatments. I diagnose & treat abnormal uterine bleeding, hormone problems, osteoporosis & PMS.

Because of my experience working in different clinical settings, I am able to take care of many problems that are often referred to more expensive specialists.  These areas include dermatology, orthopedics, psychiatry, rheumatology, nephrology, etc. If a referral is necessary, I will certainly refer."

I took my daughter to see her for a lump in her breast that was concerning. Dr. Johnson said that it was a cyst and tried to drain the cyst in office. After an ultrasound, it was determined that the "cyst" was actually a normal breast bud! A conversation with the radiologist made me realize Dr....Read More
