A very thorough Physician
I have been coming here for 2+ years now. Dr. Chimata is a dedicated professional. My wait was less than 15 minutes and I arrived a few minutes early and filled out some papers. This was very good. Other Dr.'s I visit, for example, my Cardiologist is a 45 minute wait. My GP is at least 45 minutes, probably an hour. If you want a competent physician you should have plenty of patience. Dr. Chimata was an excellent listener. Then she began to reply to some of the tings I said to her. All the while Dr. Chimata would ask me follow up questions from my prior visit. This is being very thorough. I remember my very first visit, how Dr. Chimata ordered a massive blood work up. I saw a famous hematologist three years ago and he was not as thorough as Dr. Chimata. The office is very nice and clean, everyone wears a mask, I found everyone to be kind and attentive. My medications were already ordered by the staff nurse all while Dr. Chimata was finishing up with me. I'm very pleased.

Professional and Caring Doctor
Dr. Chimata identified my osteopenia problems, identified my pain in my wrists as Gout, and also identified my pain in my fingers as OsteoArthritis! Of course these ailments started a few years apart but she and her PAvhas Always worked tirelessly to provide a competent diagnosis and treatment plan for me. I have been going to Dr. Chimata for years and feel she is the best Rheumatologist out there.

Caring, Compassionate, and Knowledgeable!
I have been a patient of Dr. Chimata for more than 10 years. She is always compassionate, thorough, and listens carefully to my comments and needs. She is very patient and it is obvious she cares very deeply for her patients. Others may mention the wait times, but I for one am grateful that she takes her time as necessary to listen to what I have going on and consider all aspects of my care, and I don’t worry about the wait knowing some other patient is benefitting from her care as much as I do!

Very Knowledgeable Doctor
The only reason I gave a 4 is that I had to wait quite a while. My case is a complicated one, which requires the coordination of several different doctors. Dr. Chimata keeps up with all the info from the other doctors in deciding my treatment.

Genuine Physician
I have nothing but respect for Dr. Chimata. The wait time was long, but the service was top notch. When she came into the room she was extremely thorough. She listened and considered all aspects before making a conclusion/diagnosis. Out of 12 doctors during this journey she was one of the few that truly cared. She is good about responding in the portal as well. Thank you to her and the staff.

The wait time is over 1 hr for a 5 minute of consultation. Maybe Dr is an expert but even time of patients is important, we anyway suffer so much with pain etc and then to be treated so casually, wait in the waiting room, then wait more in the exam room. So so unprofessional.

Dr. Chimata has been treating my Mother, who has been dealing with a lot of issues related to pain and inflammation. When we all started staying home due to the quarantine, Dr. Chimata went above and beyond to help my Mom get the right tests and therapy which helped alleviate her pain. Her staff is also very courteous and goes above and beyond to accommodate you. Dr. Chimata is a very knowledgeable doctor and never rushes you. We highly recommend her.

Neither the office staff nor the physician possess service acumen. Houston is the most skillful Medical community in the Nation however this particular practice is an anomaly. A 2 hour or greater consistent wait time for a 5-10 minute clinical interaction, incorrect Medical Charts (drug dosages and frequencies) when brought to the staff's attention require multiple emails over months to correct, slipshod and and inaccurate medical history, insufficient experience with billing practices and 'usual and customary' rates that require cash from patients while retaining assignment of benefits that if not reimbursed by insurance will be required to be 'paid by a patient at the billed rate' are simply a testimony to incompetence in administering a medical practice and familiarity with Texas Insurance Code. The number of aging patients and Specialty assure that this practice will likely continue however it is not due to any demonstrated competence.

Worst experience ever! I cannot afford my Humira any longer. She did not seem to care at all, and her entire office is apathetic. You have to wait TWO HOURS on any given day just to get back to a room. Then you get to WAIT some more. I took my Mom there a few months back and we had an 8AM appt. At 9AM I asked, and was told that the DR CHIMATA WAS NOT EVEN THERE YET! Do not waste your time.

I have been seeing Dr. Chimata since 2009. She is the best Rheumatologist in the area. Her waiting time can be long some days, but i can honestly say that the waiting time is worth it after you see her. While waiting to be seen I've met several other patients and to hear their progress after seeing her makes me realize I've made the best choice in choosing Dr. Chimata for my medical care.

She is a great doctor for you IF - you have hours to wait in the waiting room and then again in the exam room and IF you want to be put on numerous expensive medications with horrific side effects and not actually get to the root of your condition. She will not explore causes of your issues, nor recommend testing, diet or lifestyle changes to help and she will refuse to see you if you choose to seek complimentary holistic healing. Like many docs these days, it’s her RX Med way or the highway.
