I have been seeing Dr. Mora for over 3 years, and he has been a tremendous help to me and my athletic aspirations as a person with Type 1 Diabetes. With his help, I have consistently maintained a good A1c and am continuing with our plan such that I may see my first sub 7 A1c ever in the next 6-12 months! He has made me feel confident in my own decisions about my care, which has been a major factor in why I make the 60 minute drive to see him, now that my family and I have moved away from Dallas! With his own athletic background, his knowledge of current research, and his individualized care, I could not more highly endorse Dr. Mora!

Dr. Mora has been seeing me for years now, and I absolutely love him and his staff. He is currently helping me prepare for a particularly difficult study abroad program (in Africa) and is really making the difference in my planning. He has developed a plan A, B, and C for this trip and really has done everything he can to help me prepare from the diabetic-standpoint. I would recommend him to anyone!

My 18 year old daughter saw Dr. Mora for the first time today and he was wonderful. Doctors have tried to get her to use a CGM for years and she refused until today! He treated her with respect and talked to her as an adult.

Cannot aptly convey how impressed, thrilled, RELIEVED we are to find Dr. Mora! Aging out of a pediatric endo practice can be scary, but Dr. Mora is perfect for this transition. He totally "gets" the mindset of a teenage T1D heading to college. Dr. Mora is extremely thorough and patient - asks questions that matter and offers insightful information and opinions. My 19-year-old son actually walked out of the office and said, "Wow!" Yes, THAT good. Feels like we hit the lottery. Oh thank heavens.

It was time to transition my type 1 daughter out of pediatric care. We tried a few different endos, all of whom were focused on type 2 and other diseases. Finally, we met Dr. Mora and all hope was restored!! He spoke directly to my 17-year-old, asking about her interests, her future plans, and her goals--not just her diabetes. He told her he wants to be her "coach," and just as professional athletes still work with coaches, even seasoned type 1s need coaching and guidance. Love him!

Dr Mora is an excellent physician. Transitioning out of the Children's network was scary, and I wondered if we'd be able to find that high standard of care for my Type 1 son. Dr. Mora set us at ease right away. He is passionate about young adults with Type 1. He understands that they're learning how to manage their condition without as much parental supervision. He navigates this space so well and is up-to-date on all the latest research. We recommend him highly for young adults with Type 1

Dr. Mora has completely changed the way I care for my diabetes. I'm a high maintenance, demanding and stubborn patient. I have gone through more doctors than I care to share, but Dr. Mora has been able to earn my trust, work with my through any diabetes related issues and continue to improve the care for my diabetes like no other doctor has even been able to do before. His team is incredible and if you really want total control over your diabetes, I wouldn't recommend anyone else.
