In June of 2013,Dr. Higgs replaced my rt. knee. I wanted a spinal anesthesia & he said he only did general even though I told him they made me "goofy" Sure enough I was nutty for 17 days when my sister flew out from Chicago & brought me home. Don't know what drug I was on,but those days were pure...more

Dr. Higgs did a shoulder replacement on me and instead of pushing the stem down the center of the bone he pushed it out the side of the bone. This required six mor surgeries and I have very little use of my arm.My life will never be the same again.

This lady came to me with a shoulder that had been broken and dislocated for 6 weeks. She told me she had seen multiple other surgeons including one at the University of Utah Department of Orthopedics. She told me none of them would assume her care. She literally begged me in tears to help her. I did my best. If she has continued to have problems it was because she had such a horrible injury and delayed care, neither of which were my fault.
