Prior to his position at GANJ, Dr. Bernheim conducted extensive research for the Division of Gastroenterology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, NY. Dr. Bernheim completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, NY. His residency in internal medicine was completed at New York Presbyterian – Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, NY, during which time he served as Assistant Chief Resident. Furthermore, he received his medical degree with honors from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY and earned his Bachelor of Science in neuroscience and behavioral biology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Bernheim has conducted several poster presentations, oral presentations and talks on various gastrointestinal issues. He also has authored multiple publications in medical journals dedicated to research in the field of gastroenterology.
