For the past couple of years, I had been suffering the pain of osteoarthritis in my L hip. Occasionally the leg would not support me, causing a fall down a flight of stairs. There were times when I had bone on bone "attacks" that would painfully immobilize me for hours. My RA MD recommended Dr. Omid Barzideh when I asked about anterior hip replacement. Delighted to get an appt in a short span of time, I met with Dr. B 3/9/21. He was personable, informative, honest in his responses to questions, and did not rush. We set a surgical date of 4/14/21. Within a week, Dr. B's secretary, Renata, phoned with a list of clearances, PAT, CT scan, Covid testing, etc. necessary prior to surgery. Dr. B said he had an army that would get me through and each person from Kim Sommer, PA, Stephanie in the office, to Frank Daugherty, Anesth; Tom Monahan, surgical assistant; Kristin Diethle, RN SAS and the PACU RNs were sticklers for important details of my case. Thank you for your excellence.

My experience with Dr. Barzideh and his team was excellent. I had a total right hip replacement on January 20, 2021, no problems and I experienced a rapid recovery. The visiting nurse and physical therapist came twice a week for four weeks , which helped me with my recovery. I was able to discuss my progress and change in medication as needed. My sincere thanks to Dr. Barzideh and the team. Cheryl A. Leftenant

I am very happy with the surgery Dr. Barzideh preformed on me. I had a total hip replace Dec.2020. It is now March and am walking around with no pain at all. Completely recovered. I would recommend doing the pre and post operation exercises every day as recommended in the force. They really help with recovery.

In June of this year, 2020, after much research on my own, I went to Dr. Barzideh because I had pain in my right leg that moved between my hip and my knee. He informed me that I had arthritis in my right hip, that it was bone on bone, and that I needed a total hip replacement. He performed my hip surgery on November 4th, and the pain that I was having in my leg is totally gone. I found Dr. Barzideh to be very forthcoming, talking to me like a person and not just a patient, and I am also able to use a smart phone app to keep me updated on my post-op care and exercise regimen. Right now, I am almost 4 weeks post-op, and I am doing extremely well! He uses the latest robotic technology and used a specially designed hip joint that helps compensate for any mobility issues exacerbated by spinal fusion surgery that I had had in April of 2019. Dr. Barzideh is the best, and I can’t thank him and his team enough! I would recommend him to anyone who might need a hip and/or knee replacement!

I was looking for a hip surgeon on the internet (I did look at Health Grades) a couple of months ago and found Dr. Barzideh. He met my requirements - relatively young, a great deal of experience and he was a proponent of the anterior approach to total hip replacement. I was further impressed when I noted in his bio that, as a kid, he like taking things apart and putting them back together! The deal was sold when I met him and his staff a week or so later - they were confident, sincere, and thorough. Everything that I was going to experience was explained in detail. We made a date for the surgery. There were detailed videos and discussions regarding how to prepare and what to expect. The surgery was performed at Winthrop Hospital - if you have to be in a hospital, a great place to be - caring and energetic staff at every turn. I am now recovering with my new hip! All is going very well and the care, concern and support continue. I highly recommend Dr. Barzideh and staff!

The entire staff that I had dealings with get an "A+". My knees having both been replaced are working to the point I am again hiking in the woods on average of 2 miles a day, walking on the golf course and think I will be back to playing senior tennis, al be in at 86 I think I'll stick to doubles. If you are limited with knee malfunction you would be most foolish not o go here for replacement. One suggestion you would be wise to follow there excise program for a smooth recovery. I did. and the recovery was very fast.

Could not have been in better care from the first office visit. Dr. Barzideh took time to go over the results of my X-ray, explained the anterior approach with robotic assist, and discussed the impact my diabetes might have on the surgery. The surgery itself went extremely well ; no pain , none whatsoever, at any time post-op. I am now 3 months post-op and feel 100% better. I would highly recommend Dr. Barzideh to anyone in need of orthopedic surgery

Dr Barzideh just gave me my life back! By giving me a totally new knee, he has taken away years of excruciating pain and disability. Dr B and his team of professionals cared for me as though I were their own mother. I was terrified of the surgery and they put my mind at ease. Every question I asked was answered in a way I could understand. I put my trust in them and they far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Dr B and his team! BTW, I am now looking forward to my other Total Knee Replacement.
