This was my first visit. I thought i was going to see Dr James but saw an APRN which she was very smart and seemed to know the right things that needed to be done. Although I was disappointed not to see the MD my overall experience was good. I was in there over 2 hours but it was my first visit and lots of paperwork. Lisa was very kind and listened to everything I said and understood. Maybe start having a better quality of life now!

All thedey are interest in is getting you in and out writing your narcotics. He will be seeing you the first time you come. Then it is his PSs and they have no bedside manors what so ever.Very rude and treat you like second class citizens. All they are interested in is keeping you hooked to keep your business. Aovid like the plague!!!!!!!!!!

He was very thorough and listened to what I had to say. Before he wven came in the exam room he and his nurse had already went over everything in my charts from both of the neurologist I had seen along with nerve conduction testing Ive had done. He helped me in every way he could and made some very good suggestions. Glad I made the appointment.

It was the worse assembly-line medical experience I've ever had. Dr. James's PA diagnosed my pain as bursa, which I knew wasn't correct because a) I'd had that injection before, and b) he had not read the nerve/muscle conduction test report which identified a problem with the sciatica nerve due to hip replacement. At the appointment with Dr. James, I was put in a chair behind a curtain for a bursa injection. I told the nurse I needed to talk to Dr. James because it was sciatica and not bursitis

while an injection helped my shoulder the tramadol did nothing for my pain !!

Best decision I ever made. They addressed my pain issues and actually listened to me. They address everything from the physical to the mental aspects of suffering from chronic pain. Prayers finally answered!

My husband has been going the Dr. Oliver for over a year and has only see him 1 time for a procedure. And when we asked questions about the procedure he said " were you not listening when we talked before?" well we had never layed eyes on the man before. The office people treat people like drug addicts. My husband is a very proud man and has a lot of difficulty even dealing with the fact that he has to take medication. So I hate to watch him and other patients to be treated with such disrespect.

I've been with Dr James about 2 1/2 yrs now & I don't regret my decision in making the appt with them. He tries different ways to relieve your pain. If he is busy you will see either a NP or a PA which are as great as he is. The nurses are very friendly. You won't regret seeing him. They don't keep you there all day either. It's pretty quick.

Due to the unfortunate passing of Doctor Delomas in Lexington, KY, I had to find another doctor who had empathy for people who suffer from Chronic Pain. I had heard good things and had read good things about O.C. James at St. Joseph Hospital. It can be a very scary thing to switch doctors, especially when you had previously had a doctor who was such a caring, empathetic person who truly loved his patients. I highly recommend Dr, James to anyone who needs continued help with their chronic pain
