I fell down the stairs while visiting our son in New Jersey and was hospitalized with a fractured vertebra. I was discharged with a back brace and told to follow up with my family doctor one home. Due to the intense pain and nature of the fracture my doctor made arrangements to see Dr Patel. I was given an appointment the next day. Dr Patel explained exactly what was wrong and how he was going to repair it. He and his staff made every effort to relieve my pain and correct the issue as soon as possible. He and his staff are very caring and take the fear out of back surgery.

I had surgery about 2 weeks ago(Laminectomy L3, L4, and L5 with fusion). I cant believe how well I am doing. I'm able to walk as much as I want and am doing light housework already. My pain is in control and I keep getting better every day. Dr. Patel is a great doctor and I would recommend him to my friends and family. Thank goodness I found him.

I am so glad I had Dr Patel do my surgery. I had a laminectomy with fusion on L-4 & L-5. There were no complications during surgery and I was up and walking in less than 9 hours!! I had had years of pain and treatment prior to having this surgery, it was not a decision that after just a couple of weeks of discomfort. Prior to my surgery Dr Patel and the staff talked with me about the surgery and what to expect afterwards. They certainly took the time to answer all of my questions. I was given the option of going home the day after the surgery, but I felt more comfortable staying one more day. My post operative visit went well, they took a couple of x-rays at that appointment, checked the incision, asked about therapy, and again, took all the time necessary to answer all of my questions. I am 15 days post op. I feel great! There is some mild discomfort in my back, kind of like a mild back ache. I am off of the narcotics. Thanks Dr. Patel!

Dr. Patel and his PA. Brian Vlasik are excellent. I would recommend them to anyone. He is not a doctor that rushes into doing surgery. Gives other options be for resorting to doing surgery. I couldn't have asked for better care.

I had Spondylolethesis at L3-L4 that cause death severe pain and weakness in my thighs primarily on my right side. I couldn’t walk more than 500 feet at a time nor stand more than ten minutes at a time. My surgery went smoothly. Dr Patel and his team did a fantastic job fixing me. I only had to take pain medication for two days after surgery. I am now two and a half months post op and will be returning to work in a couple of weeks. I have zero pain. ZERO! Thank You!

Dr. Patel has been a God send for me. I came to him for a second opinion on a lumbar fusion after hearing he is the “best of the best” and I am so glad that I did. He performed a minimally invasive revision discectomy instead in attempt to avoid a fusion at 29 years old. He has gone above and beyond to answer my questions, calm my nerves, and make me feel confident in his plan of action. He has made himself available day and night to provide advice or direction as needed. Thank you, Dr. Patel.
