This content was provided by Dr. Calakos I specialize in the care of patients with movement disorders such as Parkinsons disease dystonia and tremors and Im an associate professor in the department of neurology. I chose to become a physician scientist because I love both the art and the science of medicine. In the clinic I enjoy getting to know each person and developing a personalized care plan based on his or her unique needs. In the lab I look for answers to problems my patients face. Outside of work I enjoy any activity that is outdoors.
