Much like the previous comments when he was at South Meadows he was extremely caring. Now that Dr. Tannous is at Sierra Rose it's as if a switch flipped. I had to go to Stanford for an eval. I was misdiagnosed by another doctor(well known) in Reno. I need an aggressive pain program for an injury that is for life and surgery is not an OPTION . Conservative methods HAVE NOT WORKED anymore injections I have had WERE NOT NECESSARY and will rupture happen if anymore are done or PT. I am fuming angry.
Nothing has changed since leaving Renown. Pain management is often misunderstood as pain pill management, and that is not what I do as a physiatrist. I can get rid of your pain, but pain medications are a very minor part of what I do for people. Those that sincerely want their pain taken care of will use low amounts of medications, and will use more of a multimodal approach to treating their pain. Those that want pills alone for their treatment should reconsider the detriment of doing so.

At first he seems to care then when he switched to his fancy new office he showed his true colors and had no time or feeling for his old patients. I don't have any problems with Medicare or Medicaid pts, but i had private insurance and was still treated badly. He started being very judgemental towards me and I was very taken back with his behavior the last 60 days. It wasn't till I checked out one day that I was told he was leaving and would no longer be at that location. He never did a single x

Dr. Tannous took the time to go over MRI films my prior physiatrist Doctor did and looking at the same films, saw the underlying cause of my non stop headaches that was missed by the last guy. Instead of suggesting Botox every 3 months like the prior Doctor, he suggested we just fix the problem. He also was awesome with my 2 year old who went with me and started to fuss a bit. He's very personable, patient, thorough and I'm so thankful my PCP talked me into going to see him for another opinion.

Do not go to this doctor. He told me that there is no basis for my pain. Beware he can pretend to be a caring (at first) . I have a debilitating disease. He has no concern!
