This content was provided by Nicholas Rasmussen "Nick Rasmussen It was his experiences as a patient that motivated Nick to focus on medicine as a career. Being active in athletics, Nick had his share of injuries as well as managing asthma. "I have a firsthand perspective on the enormous impact medicine and good medical providers can have on a person's life." Nick still enjoys sports, especially football. Nick grew up in a small town in Wyoming and still enjoys the outdoor activities like bow hunting, fishing, and camping, that he came to love being raised there. He is married and has three children. His wife is a registered nurse. "At my core, I am a family man," says Nick. He feels this is why he enjoys the practice of family medicine. He finds it especially rewarding to see patients who come to the clinic quite ill and be able to see their improvement through treatment. The family practice setting allows Nick to get to know his patients and he feels his relationships with both the people treats and those he works with are especially satisfying. Nick graduated Cum Laude from the University of Wyoming with a degree and the distinction of Outstanding Zoology/Physiology Student. He also has a Bachelor or Science degree in Health Sciences from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana, as well as a Master of Physician Assistant Studies."
