Very Knowledgeable, Caring, & Considerate Doctor
I was pregnant and looking to tanner care from my doctor in New York to here because my husband and I moved to the Charlotte area for his work. I was unable to find a fixture who could see me on sorry notice let alone one who would take me pregnant. I was very frustrated and scared as I was 8 months pregnant and about to run out of my script after weeks of trying to find a doctor. My OBGYN recommended Dr. TAUB I called his office that morning and had an appointment by that afternoon. I was treated so well with no judgement. I even needed to switch pharmacys because they did not have my medication in stock. I called and received a call back shortly and they were able to move my script. Doctor Taub also provided all the paper work the hospital needed since I was on suboxone while pregnant. I was treated exceptionally well and with respect by everyone at the office. I am more than happy to recommend him to family, friends or strangers in need or looking for substance abuse treatment!

Excellent Caring Do tor
I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Taub. He has consistently helped me with my pain. If you truly have pain and are not Dr shopping you couldn’t find a better place to be. His staff are very helpful and I have never waited over 5-10 minutes to be seen , if that.

Horrible staff exacerbated by an indifferent and cold Doctor. Save your time and sanity by going elsewhere. You will not feel at ease and the staff is just horrible except for Mary Jane.

I had my first visit with Dr. Taub today. I am looking for pain solutions that do not involve opiates. I have chronic inflammation and associated pain issues. The staff was very nice. It is an extremely calm atmosphere. As someone who can be stressed in a medical environment, I appreciated this very much. Dr. Taub really took his time, and we had a great discussion of potential treatments, and an immediate plan to try to get the inflammation under control. His manner is perfectly professional. I am very happy with the care I received, and will absolutely recommend others to him.

This doctor has an awful bedside manner. I don’t feel comfortable asking him anything because he answers in such a cavalier tone that I don’t really think he even hears me. At one point he literally walked away and LEFT THE ROOM while I was still talking to him. I felt “dismissed”. Then I asked him about a week later if I really could safely take an existing medication with what he prescribed me (because I was not convinced it was safe to mix), and what he said was “fine” during the appointment, all of a sudden WAS NOT. Proves me point that he wasn’t listening OR reading my file for that mattter. You should feel safe and have trust in your doctor. I can’t say I fee that way. I will be looking for another.

Dr. Taub is very well informed. He's smart, maybe brilliant. He shares information willingly and clearly. Looking for a new best friend? Go elsewhere. If you seek open-minded, state of the art treatment this is the place to go. I have only 1 criticism of the practice and it's that the office staff turns over frequently - all at once. Suddenly there are all new faces. Unpleasant staff members can detract from the office visit satisfaction.

I have known Dr Taub for almost 30 years as a colleague and unfortunately as a patient in recent years. It is not at all easy to be a Pain Management Specialist in todays medico-legal climate. Practically no physicians want to do it. There are lots of hoops a doctor has to jump through to prescribe opioids. Dr Taub is a consummate professional in this very difficult arena. I would almost guarantee that all the one star reviews were from patients that did not get all the drugs they were looking for or were not willing to jump through the hoops that are currently required.

Dr. Taub has the worst bedside manner of any doctor i have ever been too. He does not allow you to ask questions or discuss why he has changed your meds. The negative reviews others have posted are ALL VERY TRUE!!!!! He blames the government, the DEA and so forth. He lacks communication skills, empathy, compassion and doesn't even know my medical history and could care less.He pretends to do a physical assessment by touching his stethoscope to your chest for 3 seconds LOL.Who is he fooling?

Dr. Taub has no bedside manner. Talking to patients about life events and struggles proves very difficult for him. He comes in threatens to discharge patients from his practice and does not discuss care plans to get patients where they need to be physically or emotionally. He takes no reposibioity for his actions or decisions, but instead puts full blame on the government. If you are a chronic pain patient, you should keep looking. This man lacks compassion, empathy and strength of character.

This “doctor” has been seeing me for years. I’ve always abided by my pain contract, passed urine tests. He doesn’t even know all of my diagnoses because he won’t let me speak and he doesn’t bother to ask!! He says one thing at an appt and forgets a couple months later and does another. Falls in line with the “guidelines” that are seriously under treating serious pain patients!!! I would suggest you stay far, far away. He’s got no emotion except cold. Walks away when you try to ask ?’s!

Was treated very unprofessional. He was very good at my first visits and due to me being allergic to some medications he prescribed for me, I could not take them. Was not given a new RX for them. Was dismissed without probable cause. Treated me unprofessional and would not let me see him in person at the scheduled appointment time I was in his office. Would not recommend to other patients.

Dr. Taub is very business like and direct. His appointments don't last long which is a benefit when it hurts to sit for long periods. I've never caused him any reason to take my medication or even request a pill count. If you follow his rules he is very easy to get along with. He is in a very tough profession with all the DEA regulations and I've never had any issues with him refusing me medication. If you want a great bedside manner find another doctor.
