About Me

I believe in educating the patient about their condition and letting them make their own informed decisions - especially with elective surgery.  As a patient myself, I understand that it is important for the patient to feel comfortable with the surgeon.

I found Dr. Ziran to be a first-class surgeon with a great attitude. He listens carefully to your questions and concerns, and makes sure you understand the "what" and the "whys". In other words, he's both a good listener and he explains things patiently. He's a perfectionist who clearly cares about his patients and using his excellent skills on their behalf. I had an extremely bad injury, fractured femur due to a fall. ORIF was required. Dr. Ziran had to basically pin me back together! Four months later and I'm walking again, fully healed, thanks to this terrific doctor and his team. I couldn't be more pleased with his efforts. He's a first-class surgeon as well as being caring and compassionate, a great combination! And his office staff, front & back office, and x-rays, were top-notch too!

Dr. Ziran operated on my mother after she fell, resulting in a compound fracture of the elbow. He was informative, patient with all my questions, and most important very compassionate with my mother. His surgical skills resulted in a completely rehabilitated elbow. During our post-operative visits, he kept us well-informed about how the healing process was going and what to expect. I anticipate needing hip surgery in a few years and I would not want anyone else to do it except Dr. Ziran.

Dr. Ziran listened to my concerns and my surprise when I got the diagnosis and he also helped me with alternative supportive means of helping my body heal! I love his philosophy and patient care. I know surgery will be successful because of his attention to helping a body heal after minimally invasive surgery. Medicine has come a long way and so have doctors!

Dr. Ziran performed surgery on my shattered forearm (radius); I found him to be caring, knowledgable, and trustworthy. He even pulled strings to get my into surgery the very next day. My recovery has gone well and -- with a lot of physical therapy -- I'm almost 100% again. Highly recommended!

I find Dr. Ziran to be very attentive, knowledgeable, patient, and supportive. He has proven to be a gifted and capable surgeon. It has been my Great Good Fortune to have him as my Doctor and it has been to his good care and the Grace of God that I am walking so well today.

Very good experience despite the circumstances, my teenager has an Acetabulum fracture due to a fall. Dr. Ziran was very patient & answered our many questions regarding surgery and her recovery. It was awesome to see her walking again.

Dr. Ziran asked for constant feedback about how he could make his services better. He was helpful in advising physical therapy and the degree of exercise that I should practice. I felt confident that he was assessing my progress and guiding me in the right direction.

During recovery for an emergency total right hip replacement, medical staff did not have 2 pints of a+ blood. Dr. Ziran took the time to go to the blood bank to find out what happened to the 2nd blood. The 2nd blood arrived 2 1/2 hours later. If Dr. Ziranh had not been present, I doubt the staff would have noticed the second bag of blood missing. Dr. Ziran's concern for his patients is much appreciated by me. Catharine Oshita

I had to wait 80 minutes after my scheduled appointment even though I came in 20 minutes early to do paperwork. I was told on three ocassions, the doctor will be right in to see you. Then I was sent for an xray despite my issue being a shallw finger laceration. Dr Ziran spent 3 minutes with me, prescribed anti-biotics and told me to come back in 10 days. Came back as requested. Waited 70 minutes this time. Spent two minutes with me and told me I needed to see a specialist. Awful bed side manner.
