He is absolutely fantastic! Really listened to my concerns and always tried to find a holistic way to address my complaints. Even referred my husband, who has suffered with anxiety for years and is a difficult patient! He has taken incredible care of my family over the past few years and I trust him COMPLETELY!! Thank you Dr. Thomas!!

I have been under Dr. Thomas's care for a few years for Bipolar Disorder (type I) and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I really appreciate that Dr. Thomas considers things like vitamins and supplements in addition to psychiatric medication. His approach is very holistic and he's helped me feel better with comprehensive plans of care.

Main reason for the 5 stars is because Dr. Thomas always suggested additional ways to help with my MDD, and was never quick to up my medication and/or add new medication. He had me do lab work to see about things like vitamin D deficiency before creating a long term plan. Very professional. Maybe not the best "talker", but very good at his professionalism.

Dr. Thomas gave excellent care as my psychologist of several years. In addition to providing maintenance care (checking mood and life; checking prescriptions), he was always looking for ways to improve that care. If you like asking questions, he's willing to answer, even referring to books he's read. Highly recommended.

Dr. Thomas is an amazing psychiatrist, the best I have found in my 30 years of care. Previous doctors focused the review visits on a set of routine questions, Dr Thomas would spend the time developing The Plan, Maybe: listening, reading parts of a book, trying a supplement, reviewing labs, suggesting activities, etc. He teamed with me in an effort to find ways to help me improve - an individualized plan to get better. And it’s working. Because of his holistic approach I am better and grateful.

Dr. Thomas saved my family during a very rough time. There was immediate relief with medication, however, he kept testing to find the root cause and found ways of healing them naturally through proper nutrition making the need for pharmaceutical treatment much less. What should have destroyed us has made us wiser, stronger, and much happier than before. I would recommend him to anyone who really wants to heal and have a better life.

Dr. Thomas was the best psychiatrist I had the pleasure of working with for my ADHD counseling. Since first diagnosis in the early 2000’s, I’ve seen more than a dozen different psychiatrists & none of them come even remotely close to the level of personal attention, care, professional expertise, & mental clarity Dr. Thomas delivers for each session. Atlanta is truly losing one of the best in the field. If you reside in Boulder, CO, and are managing daily life with mental uncertainty, go see him!

I wish I could give 10 stars! I've been a patient of Dr. Thomas for about a year or so, and since that time I have grown in so many ways. As I like to tell people I am in progress of reprogramming my brain not to hate me...lol I owe it all to Dr. Thomas. He really takes the time to listen, and rather than lecturing, he advised me on other options to help guide me through life. Colorado is very lucky to have him. He is passionate about helping people.

Dr. Thomas is one of a kind! He is very attentive and prompt. I love the approach he has to mental health. He is more apt to recommend vitamins and other natural supplements instead of a boat load of prescription meds. He tends to look at one's overall health and try to see what could be an underlying cause of the disorder. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for guidance in this field.

My experience with Dr. Thomas ended badly. He talked down to me as if my symptoms had no validity. He doesn’t listen well and caused more distress than when I began seeing him. He is more concerned about gut health & your microbiome than psychiatry. Any level of emotion is not tolerated.

I have been to multiple psychiatrists in the metro Atlanta area and Dr. Thomas is the only one that I have felt comfortable talking to. I am more than happy to make the hour+ drive to his office to see him instead of the others around where I live. His demeanor keeps me calm and able to discuss my issues without feeling judged or looked down upon. I would highly recommend him to anyone, especially those that have a hard time opening up to someone about what they are going through.

Thomas Baranowski in Snellville, GA – Aug 01, 2018
Dr. Thomas is extraordinary in the way that he crafts your care plan using your input and feedback. He is extremely well-read and uses his knowledge to treat the whole patient instead of using a vague list of symptoms to prescribe a "convenient" medication. In addition, he takes the time to listen to you and works with you to address both your physiologic and psychological concerns. I would highly recommend Dr. Thomas to anyone.
