I saw Dr. Spence in July for a heart cath. Following the procedure he told me my heart condition was very bad and bypass surgery was necessary as soon a possible and he made an appt for me with the heart surgeon the next day. His manner was abrupt, dispassionate and he looked very worried. I felt devastated and was sure I was going to die. I went home in tears and said good-bye to my wife and to my friends. But it was all so unnecessary as the heart surgeon said after surgery I would be back to my old self in a few months. Dr. Spence put me through emotional hell.

Excellent determining what tests were necessary to identify my issues. Without the proof positive that my blockage had progressed to critical limits I would have ignored the minor pains I was having while exercising and working around the house and surely would have had a heart attack. I have to thank him for his approach, professionalism and caring that has placed me on a corrective path that will extend my quality of life in retirement.

Although I was unconscious or semi-conscious during my appointment with Dr. Spence, I found him to be an exemplary professional with a confident, compassionate demeanor when I met him before my stent placement. He was kind enough to visit my wife the moment my procedure was done. All went well. Thank the lord for Dr. Spence and his team for devoting their time to help others in a time of great need.

First saw Dr. Spence in ER while having a heart attack. He was very reassuring to me and my family. Quickly diagnosed the issue and put in a stent. Have seen him 3 times since, in the hospital and his office. Very happy with the quality of care, open frank discussions with Dr. Spence and all of his staff have been great. The office has followed up with me via phone calls several times, just checking on me.

Dr Spencer is very knowledgeable - likes to know what's going on and how he can help. Willing to take the extra time a patient needs to get quality care. I have been going to him since i had my heart attack and every visit i spend like 5-10 minutes in the waiting room then you are called to the back you never have to wait in the room but a few minutes and he is in the room. Very polite but still professional at the same time. I would recommend him for anyone who needs a heart doctor.

After I ended up in hospital for sudden onset a-fib I was seen by the Heart Clinics M.D. on call. I needed follow-up visits. I did not really know any of the Dr.s as I had never had cardiac issues before. On the suggestion of a PA, I chose Dr. Spence. Excellent choice. He spent a lot of time explaining the condition to my husband and I. I just had my 6 month follow-up , he made me feel comfortable and not "stupid" for being anxious and asking questions. Medication review is done with each visit

Dr. Spence provided excellent care to me. He diagnosed the need for change in medication and I feel 100 percent better. Dr. Spence also has and excellent "bedside manner". He explained the issues so that a layman could understand.
