First Ortho Appointment with Dr. Coleman
I had a fall in another state (PA) where I had a Reverse Shoulder Replacement. Upon coming home to Virginia my Family doctor and I reviewed doctors to take on my case for follow up and physical therapy. Since I had a major knee revision and follow ups with Ortho Virginia (that doctor had retired), we looked at the office near our home. Dr. Coleman had excellent reviews and was willing to take the case on. The Stone Springs office in Aldie, Virginia was very professional and courteous. Dr. Coleman himself went over the procedure that was done in PA and explained things to me that I had not fully understood.. I am so appreciative to have such a good doctor close by that made me feel comfortable and willing to answer all my questions and gave ample time to do so.

Dr. Coleman did a fantastic job with my distal tendon surgery. After three months I’m 98% back to normal. From the initial consult he clearly explained the entire surgical procedure, as well as what to expect at each follow up appointment. I can’t thank him and his staff enough. I highly recommend him.

My visit was for an evaluation of two knee replacement/revisions from years ago. The process was thorough, professional and practical. I had all of my questions answered completely and a treatment plan set out.

My visit was for an ongoing torn rotator cuff issue and accompanying arthritis (second tear almost 20 years after original repair). My only permanent option is a reverse shoulder replacement; however, for scheduling reasons, it is not the right time. Dr Coleman is understanding about my situation and has provided other therapies to allow me to successfully manage the pain that flares up. He explains the procedure for my current treatment as well as the improvements and limitations I will have once I undergo the surgery. I appreciate his willingness to answer my questions and his honesty about what limitations I will have.

Exceptional physician, exemplary human being
I had a second knee replacement (my 1st performed by Dr Coleman) and when I compare his medical care and knowledge, as well as how he answered all my questions, there is absolutely no comparison possible to other orthopedic providers. He is trustworthy, honest, and explains in a very clear and real way what needs to be done, and how to best recuperate. I feel safe, understood, and in the best hands possible with him and his staff. Thank you!

Satisfied Patient
It has been a long time since a doctor sat down in front of me and devoted his attention to learning why I was there. After our discussion we reviewed my X-rays and discussed where I was with my health issue and then discussed the alternatives available. I opted for an injection of medication that has immediately improved my mobility and permitted me to begin a regime of strengthening exercises.

Dr Coleman is fantastic; Attentive, empathetic, thoughtful and relatable. He is easy to talk to and explains everything clearly. Recovery from surgery has not been bad at all compared to my past surgeries. I’ve heard from other doctors even that Dr Coleman is well respected and I have full trust in him.

Dr. Coleman took my case on after another physician referred me to him for a reconstruction of my right elbows LCL. Dr. Coleman was patient, understanding, explained everything to include drawing what my procedure was going to look like. Day of surgery the facility of running behind a bit, but Dr. Coleman took advantage of this, to help comfort me before going back to the OR. I am about 3 weeks post operative now, and the pain I was had which stopped me from doing most daily activities for over a year is gone. Thank you Dr. Coleman for taking my case and being so kind and considerate. 4 orthopedic surgeries in 12 months, and Dr. Coleman fixed the one problem I kept having.

I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Coleman. My dad had an unfortunate accident on his bicycle, leading to multiple leg fractures and hours-long surgeries. Although he developed complications from the initial surgery that Dr. Coleman did not perform, his concern for my dad's health, care throughout the process, and commitment to having my dad recover entirely made us feel we were in good hands throughout the multiple stages of my dad's surgeries which ultimately led him to be able to walk again. His attention to detail, thoughtful care, and ability to make the patient feel comfortable, make him an excellent medical professional and an ideal for other physicians to look to. We highly recommend him, should you need the services of an orthopedic surgeon.
