Washington, DC |
I met with several gynecologists trying to treat my fibroids. Dr. Danilyants was my last hope at solving the mystery of my reproductive system. After several ultrasounds, Dr. Danilyants was able to pinpoint the cause and assured me that the best way to relieve my bleeding was through laparoscopic surgery to remove 6 fibroid tumors. The surgery was easy and she did a fantastic job with the removal of all of the fibroids. She is wonderful and caring!

She is truly amazing! Such an incredible doctor and surgeon. She diagnosed my difficult case correctly and had me up and around and out to dinner the day after surgery. I would never consider another doctor.

Dr. Danilyants is the best. I had my procedure with her in December and couldn't be happier! She is so warm, caring and explained everything in details. If I ever need another procedure, Dr. D would be my first and only choice.

Dr. Danilyants is a truly a caring physician. She removed 25 fibroids via myomectomy on Jan 24, 2017 while perserving my uterus all in a minimally invasive way that had me able to caretake for myself the day after surgery. She is truly a blessing to the gynecological medical profession, most of which is quick to suggest that all female problems be resolved by hysterectomy. If I did not find Dr. Danilyants and her surgical center, I am almost certain I would not have my uterus. Thank God for her.
in West River, MD |
Dr. Danilyants is more than just an excellent doctor. She provides expert, personalized care and seems to truly care about helping her patients. In addition to being extremely knowlegeable as you would expect, I found her to be quite personable and likeable. She patiently listened to all of my questions and concerns and took her time to address every one of them. She performed my surgery using the least invasive techniques available and my recovery time was nothing short of amazing.
Ocean City MD |
Told me to find a different surgeon to do myomectomy, refusing to perform the procedure on anyone my age (59). Rather the ONLY option is a vaginal hysterectomy whereby and she would cut the uterus into pieces to remove. Her reasoning was "cancer risk" for fibroid removal even refusing to remove a pesky (painful) predunct fibroid. I had many tests that warrant there is NO cancer. Yet she will cut up the uterus to remove it. I read there are more risks and problems w/ hyster. vs. myomect.
We are sorry you are not happy with your experience at CIGC. The recommendation for hysterectomy was made to provide you with the best possible outcome as myomectomy is not an appropriate procedure for post-menopausal women. CIGC surgeons use manual morcellation to remove fibroids and the uterus, which is a safe technique, as opposed to the power morcellator device, which can spread cancer. When surgery is performed by a skilled GYN specialist, the complication rate is minimal.

I was very nervous regarding meeting another doctor about my surgery and the stories I've heard of others and their experience with having a hysterectomy. Having a consultation with Dr. Danilyants made me feel at ease and reassured that everything will be better than I expected. Everything went as she had explained regarding the procedure and recovery time. I had minimum pain and I was up and moving about by the end of the week. Her bedside manner is very comforting. She and her staff are ama
