Care Philosophy

My orthopedic hand and upper extremity practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder in children and adults. These conditions include congenital (birth) hand differences, arthritis, infections, tumors, nerve compressions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, and tendonitis. I also have expertise in caring for acute traumatic injuries (and their late complications) such as fractures, ligament tears, and lacerations of nerves or tendons. I evaluate patients in offices at Chevy Chase, Waldorf, and Fairfax. A treatment plan is carefully formulated, and patients are followed until they have the best outcome that can be obtained. Many patients can be treated without surgery. I refer to a wide network of therapists who can provide treatments closer to home if necessary. I maintain close relationships with other specialists to provide you with integrated diagnosis and care.Read more

Dr. Haque was very thorough, knowledgeable, and open to questions. Unlike most doctors, he was also sympathetic and understanding when I mentioned quality of life concerns. Further, the very non-invasive treatments he recommended have begun working in under a week. When I asked for a copy of the x-rays, he had them put on a disc and given to me within 2 - 3 minutes. Nor did he attempt to build fees, by scheduling more visits or tests than I needed. Highly recommeded.
