Dr. Murray Kwon is an outstanding Cardio-Thoracic surgeon. We highly recommend him. He is definitely a 5-star surgeon. My wife had an Aortic aneurysm on the ascending arch of the aorta. Open heart surgery was required to correct the situation. Dr. Kwon and his team spent hours working with us to help us understand the surgery, its risks, and the risks of not doing it. Each step of the way Dr. Kwon worked with us to understand the procedure and the recovery. During the surgery, Dr. Kwon's team kept me informed each step of the way on how the surgery was proceeding. Following surgery, Dr. Kwon visited us frequently in the ICU to make sure the recovery was going well. Once my wife was released from the hospital Dr. Kwon and UCLA Home care continued to remain in contact with us. We were never alone and could always reach someone on Dr. Kwon's team to help us. We highly recommend Dr. Kwon.

Dr Kwon performed my open heart surgery on 6/7/19. I cannot say enough good things about him. From the beginning of this process, I have had not ONE complaint. His staff was friendly, courteous, and professional - especially Rafi. I was referred to Dr. Kwon by my local cardiologist. I live 150 mi from LA and doing the surgery at UCLA required additional time and coordination from his team. Due to the geographical difference, I didn't meet Dr. Kwon until the day before surgery. From the moment I met him, I felt a sense of relief and confidence in both him and the outcome. He repaired my aorta aneurysm, finding and repairing 2 additional unknowns along the way. My recovery has been amazing-I have had NO pain. 5 months later I feel great, no restrictions and no medications! Paramount to the success of any surgery is having trust and confidence in the doc. I had that and so much more with Dr, Kwon, he's the best and deserves way more than 5 stars in my rating system!!

I cannot say enough about my experience with Dr. Kwon. He replaced my aortic valve recently (9/27/2019) and it is perfect. Dr. Kwon answered all of my questions and explained everything about the surgery. During the run up to surgery, both Dr. Kwon and his assistant, Rafi, went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable with the process. My stay at the hospital (UCLA-Ronald Reagan) also went well with Dr. Kwon's and staff keeping up with my care daily.

Dr. Murray Kwon performed surgery on my wifes ascending Aortic Aneurysm. He spent hours with us before hand helping us understanding the risk of the surgery versus the risk of a "burst". Before the surgery he made sure that coronary artery bypass and MAZE procedures were evaluated. After the surgery his follow up was outstanding. We highly recommend Dr. Kwon for Cardio Thoracic surgeries
