If I could give zero stars I would. I was with him for 5 years and only stayed because he was the only psychiatrist near me that would take my insurance. He doesn't care about his patients, laughed at my troubles in life, made assumptions about me that were completely unfounded, pushed medication that harmed me, pushed his religion, judged me for struggling with severe depression saying "how could you be struggling when your life seems to be going so well". That's not how mental illness works and its shocking he said that. There's so much more I can't get into but he dismissed me for "refusing treatment" because I sternly told him he needed to stop laughing at my struggling with anxiety and for medication not working for me. I have another rare medical condition that affects how medications metabolize in my body, it means most medications just don't have any effect on me and he laughed at me constantly about it and treated me like I was faking it. Awful. Avoid at absolutely all costs.

Went to a scheduled appointment about 6 months ago and the office was closed. They had rescheduled my appointment, but failed to tell me. Two hours and 15 minutes was the average wait time yesterday (there was no emergency). This is unprofessional and very disrespectful to patients.

Dr Shaikh does not care about his patients as much as pushing medication on people to make his checks from the pill companies. Waiting room stinks and is jam packed with people and no chairs

How can he, as a medical professional look and you and write you script in 3 minutes? This is closest thing to a methadone clinic that I have ever seen. He is in it for the insurance money, not for patient care. Please search for somewhere to get help. This is not the place. Everything is done via paper, there office staff is confused, mixed files, etc. Unclean office environment - they squeeze 20 people in a 8 chair waiting room.

I was a patient of dr shaikhs for a little over 2 years. I waited anywhere from 1 hour to 1 and a half hours in his waiting room. Not to mention the lack of seating while it was jam packed. He only spent about 5 minutes with me, and I felt like just another number to him. This place works like a revolving door. They want to write out a prescription so they get their money. It wouldn't be bad if it was one that works, but in this case it never did.

We put our trust in Dr Shaikh for my 17 year old daughter for depression. He did not demonstrate a desire to help or understand. I would strongly caution anyone to consider alternatives before choosing Dr Shaikh. I have since spoken to another Dr. who found this doctor's actions ethically problematic. Also, assume a one hour wait but that was the least of our concerns.

Horrible office staff and they overbook patients, so you end up having to wait over an hour or more to be seen. Once in with the doctor, he writes your script and rushes on to the next patient. It's obvious he couldn't care less about his patients, otherwise, he would spend at least a few minutes asking how they're doing and if the medications are helpful. The lack of communication between the office staff is truly a shame. From my first visit-to my last, I saw 10+new faces at the front desk!
