IRRESPONSIBLE!!!
My first appt was with Dr Rifai. He seemed to not care about what I was saying and barely looked at me. He suggested TMS for my depression. I told him I'd discuss it with my other drs. I was concerned about other medical conditions I have. They advised against the procedure. I informed Dr Rifai at my next visit and I left his office feeling very discouraged after he said to schedule a follow up appt if I change my mind. He had an emergency before my next appt. The staff offered me an appt with a physician's assistant. I saw her for awhile but wasn't thrilled with her either. She had an emergency and staff offered me another physician's assistant. She was concerned, listened to me and made a new plan for me. I left appt with confidence that things will get better. The front staff is rude. They rarely answer the phone and NEVER call me back. Most of the time their voice-mailbox is full and am unable to leave a message. It's extremely unprofessional!!!

Horrible experience!
This man is very judgemental and makes you feel like a piece of worthless scum. He makes you feel embarrassed and like a complete loser. I went for help and was made to feel that nothing will change for me so get used to being a loser. It took me months to get the courage to even see him and walked out feeling like the biggest loser and scum on the earth. All I was looking for was a doctor who cared and wanted to help me...this is NOT the doctor to do this. If you are thinking of going here, do yourself a huge favor and find a doctor who actually cares, supports you and wants to help you live your best life! The one office girl is amazing (too bad she's not the doctor!) as well as the 1 female therapist. The therapist is not really helpful but she at least gives you the feeling she cares by just listening but doesn't have any suggestions or exercises to help with any issues.

Appt. time was 1:00 PM walk into his office 1:55PM almost 1 hour after appt. time! No apology. I am sister of pateint, when pateint was talking doctor was looking at his computer. Very disrespectful, looking at pateint when they are speaking shows that they are being heard. SCAM! 6 weeks of torture fixed in 5min.’s by another dr! I was left suicidal while LIED TO that they were working on getting my meds approved. My insurance said they were “NEVER CONTACTED-NEVER”! I Paid $900 for a med that was approved in 24hrs by another Dr! They get more $ from U than from the insurance. Your med’s will NEVER GET APPROVED BY THEM! I did EVERYTHING 4 them! They FAILED to ACT even after I HAD the PRIOR AUTH SENT to THEM- THEIR JOB! ALL THEY had to do was respond but didn’t! I had my insurance call them w/me on the phone to fix it & Allysa proceeded to bad mouth me to them saying this wasn’t an emergency! She refused to help saying I’ll do it later & NEVER DID- like Usual! 6 wks of being told we will call u later & NEVER ONCE GOT A CALL BACK! It was a full x job until I realized it was FUTILE! YOUR MEDS & SANITY ARE URGENT! THIS IS CRIMINAL, ABUSIVE & All LIES! Dr was 2 “busy” 2 call me to fix It! *DIVULGED MY TREATMENT ON PHONE to a Stranger Violating HIPPA!

Outraged patient – Feb 19, 2021

The Receptionist is horrid. The receptionist is disrespectful, inconsiderate, mean, unprofessional, uncooperative, condescending, unfriendly, Ill-mannered, impolite and just dreadful. I called the office to inquire about my daughter who is a patient there and the receptionist literally attacked me on the phone. I imagine the Dr. is good at his job but the receptionist is the first person you come in contact with and she is the face of the practice. I was very disappointed that this practice has someone who is obviously not equipped to handle phone calls or maybe an in-service on phone etiquette.

Patient Testimonials

"I have been suffering from major depression, anxiety, PTSD and insomnia for years. I also have recently developed a seizure condition. I had been on countless medications to combat these conditions and seen multiple medical professionals to no avail. Dr. Rifai and his extremely professional and kind staff including Amy Makl and Nancy Taylor have all used innovative treatments and cutting edge testing to help identify certain genetic markers which led to the best medication combination I have been on and suggested state the art, recently developed treatments. I have also been in an outpatient facility for four months and have never had these types of positive results. They are so amazingly accommodating, knowledgeable and patient. I cannot say enough good things about all of them."
