He specializes in providing minimally invasive care for all problems of brain and spine and emphasizes on conservative care whenever possible. All patients get his complete, undivided attention and treatment decisions are made in partnership with the patient and their family. Most of Dr. Sharma's patients start with conservative, non-surgical pain management. When surgery is recommended, Dr. Sharma makes every effort to minimize the trauma of surgical intervention by using latest minimally invasive techniques. Fusions are avoided whenever possible but if needed, are performed using the latest techniques such as XLIF, TLIF, Aspen, X-Stop, ALIF, pedicle screws and ACDF.
