At the end of the procedure my boyfriend got an envelop. There was a survey of nine questions that did not reflect my bad experience. That would be silly if I put yes (meaning good) to all of them and for the 10th question I marked “ Extremely Dissatisfied” with my care. Lastly, for the 11th question, “suggestions or comments”, I do have one suggestion. All medical personal including doctors, must go through the colonoscopy one time from the very beginning: Appointment in advance of five months, mark the calendar so that you can arrange many things; Take off from work for 2-3 days or from other activities, depending on whether if you can work productively on a liquid diet; Find a driver for the whole day as instructed (he/she also has to take the day off); Follow the diet and cleaning instructions (3 days); When you arrive in the waiting room, weak (because of starving) and uncomfortable (from wanting to go to the restroom), check 23 pages and find where to sign; Later, on the bed be

For Dr. Suchov's Alvarado staff. I got a referral for Dr. Suchov and left two mssgs but no one called back. I called again and was told the scheduler was out so I had to leave another voicemail. Only one person knows how to schedule? A week and a half later, Marianna calls, but says they don’t have my referral. So my doctor sent it AGAIN. I called Marianna, who didn’t answer, and left a message that it was faxed. I NEVER got a call back. I’m surprised if Dr. Suchov ever gets to see any patients.

Dr. Suchov's front desk employees are RUDE, UNHELPFUL, LAZY, and CONDESCENDING. They make you feel dumb and very frustrated for talking to them. When you call, the office picks up 1 out of 5 times. When I called for my blood test results, they say the results are "locked" and need a specialist to "unlock" it. Then say they will call you back with the results by the next day. Well, they don't call back and you have to CONSTANTLY call them again and again to reach them.

Dr. Suchov is nice and good doctor, but his office is poorly managed and he seems like he has too many patients. He's only in the office 1-2 times a week in the mornings, so you have to book an appt months in advance. Also not good about getting results to you. I had colonoscopy in the fall, and they told me to call 2 weeks later. I did about 10 times over the next few months, but no one ever called me back. I had to make an appt to get results which ended up being abt 6 months later.

Dr. Suchov by far is the best GI doctor, & the most caring doctor, I can think of. My daughter was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. She needed to see a GI doctor who was also a pediatric GI because she was not an adult yet. After visiting 5 other GI doctors, several ER visits, finally we got an authorization to see doctor Suchov. After struggling for more than one year, thanks to Dr. Suchov, she is feeling much better, and taking less medication. We are so lucky to have him as my daughter's Dr.

The thing I appreciated most about Dr. Suchov, aside from his professional, caring manner, is the amount of time he devotes to his patients. Unlike some other Doctors who herd you in and out of their office to fill some hourly quota, you never feel rushed or short changed with Dr. Suchov. He takes the time to understand your needs and thoroughly explains all of your options.
