Broke my radius in a car accident. Dr Black and her team were extremely knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. They presented and explained options using the language I could understand, and listened and answered all my questions patiently. It made me feel really good when my OT was impressed with the handy work done by Dr Black and her team. It’s good to know I am in good hands, especially in my time of chaos. THANK YOU!

Being from DesMoines I fell while visiting my son broke my femur and needed surgery!!! Dr Black was on call did the surgery (inserted a nail in my femur). She was very personable during my hospital stay n recommended rehabilitation vs traveling back to DM. Since the September surgery I continued traveling to OP for all my follow up appts and was released after 6 months. Because of my fall I also needed shoulder surgery n had I lived closer without a doubt I’d have gone to Dr Black again!! She’s the BEST!!

She did surgery on my left collarbone. I will honk Dr Black and her entire staff are top notch!! They are professional,, extremely knowledgeable,, always willing to answer any questions that you might have! I have been totally impressed with Dr Black ,,her staff, Dr Kaye and his staff. The hospital staff while in the hospital is also so great. The only complaint I have is about getting checked in and being released , I really had a difficult time. The staff checking me in, were rude, argumentative, had me do a cup of urine and then didn’t use it. I ask them to put the IV in my right arm and they out and out said no. When I was being released they forgot to send one of my non narcotic pain meds, because of that I had trouble getting my pain under control!! Thank you Therese Bennefeld ( Diane)

I first met Dr. Black after being admitted to OPRMC to discuss a treatment plan for multiple fractures of the pelvis. Dr, Black conveyed a professional manner while exhibiting a very empathetic approach. She very patiently discussed my injuries and surgical options with the overriding concern to not do any unnecessary procedures, She took an additional day to review my case and returned to present her best options and get my opinion as to how I wanted to proceed. I had a great outcome.

HER CARING AND PROFESSIONALISM IS OVER THE TOP. I HAD A BAD ACCIDENT THAT LEFT MY LOWER LEG BASICALLY SHATTERED. AFTER SIX OR EIGHT WEEKS THERE WAS NO HEALING TAKING PLACE AND WAS TOLD I WOULD POSSABLY LOOSE MY LOWER LEG. I SOUGHT A SECOND OPINION AND FOUND DR. BLACK. I COULD TELL FROM THE START I WAS IN GOOD HANDS WITH DR. BLACK AND HER ASSISTANT. I COULD SEE THEY WERE GOING TO DO WHATEVER IT TOOK TO SAVE MY LEG. SHE GENUINELY CARES AND WILL GO THE EXTRA MILE FOR HER PATIENTS. THANKS DOC LUV U
