This Dr. office will not give me an insulin refill without setting an appointment today. I need a one month refill to get to my appointment but will not even do that.

I only have seen Dr Alam twice the first time I was there I waited 2 hours to see the DR he spent less than 5 minutes with me and ordered blood test and Bone density I was in the office for my Thyroid levels and when I went back 3 months later I checked in with receptionist and waited people who came in after me were called back I saw a nurse walking out since it was after 5 and I still had not been back she thought I was waiting on a patient and she told me that the DR was just finishing up and would be out. I told her I was still waiting to see the Dr I wasn't waiting on another patient. The nurses acted mad and the DR spent less that 5 minutes again and didn't explain any of the results with me . I won't be going back finding a new Dr.

He is a fine doctor. I have him to thank for controlling my type 1 diabetes and the potential for a long life. While the wait times sometimes are a bit long, this is exceptional. One gets good attention from Dr. Alam, and he is a highly capable doctor for diabetics.

I have never had a worse experience in my life!!! This was the 3rd time seeing this man. After waiting well over 2 hours, he comes in not even for 5 minutes, I told him about my exhaustion. His answer Well your thyroid results are optimal and you should talk to you doctor about your depression. I only swtiched doctors due to the fact I moved to terre Haute, I will be driving back to Indy for better care and not for a doctor I wait on for over 2 hours and whips in the room and whips out only to t

I've never had a worse experience with a doctor. Rude receptionists. Always waiting an hour + past my appointment. Doctor spends 2 minutes in the room with you. Him and his nurses have to ask me what medication they prescribed I'm on every visit. I take 200mcg of Synthroid and they always tell me in on 175, because obviously they never document when they change it. You cannot call this office for refills.

Receptionist is not usually very nice, but on good days she is tolerable. Mostly, I think she is just no-nonsense and comes across worse than she truly is. The worst thing about Dr. Alam is the wait. Sometimes, you can wait up to 3 hours before you even see the room, and then you wait another 15 to 30 minutes to even see the doc. That is just ridiculous. Also, he tends to forget who you are and what your situation is, so you have to remind him of things and keep on top of your history and stuff.

If you want a Dr who cares about patients this isn't the one for you. It's a good day if you're in the waiting room < an hour. You'll probably wait a similar amount of time once you're in the exam room. You're lucky if he spends more than 5 minutes with you. He doesn't listen to concerns and dismisses questions. You'll be lied to repeatedly about whether paperwork has been filled out & submitted to insurance and other Drs. The care is abysmal! Get an endo not in Providence group.

Kept pushing back appointments for a thyroid issue and requesting new blood work for tests that had been performed and reviewed by him just days before. After 3 days of waiting for him in the hospital I decided to make arrangements with another physician.
