Care Philosophy

Psychiatric Care is based on a positive Doctor-Patient relationship enriched by a genuine interest in getting to know the patient applying the Bio-psycho-social model of medical care. I enjoy seeing patients of all age groups and work with a group of experienced psychotherapists at our practice. I also coordinate care with a variety of medical specialist depending on the patient's medical problems. If needed, I also refer patients to psychologists, neurologists or neuropsychologists for further testing. In case of children, our therapists keep a close contact with the child's school teachers and caregivers in order to optimize diagnostic process and taylor a personalized multidisciplinary treatment plan.

Confidentiality, empathy, support and patient comfort are of utmost importance at our practice.

If allowed or requested by the patient, we always welcome family involvement and support of treatment.

Many psychiatrist in my opinion try to prescribe a ton of meds and keep you on medication for life to keep themselves a client. Not Dr. Abu-Salha. He is an experienced Dr and parent who cares. Your wait time is a little long because he takes his time with his patients to give them the riget care. His goal is to eliminate dependence on medication and to have a stabalized life. A real person in that position is hard to find. I have been to several therapists and psychiatrist and he is the best.
