I suffered from back pain for years. Couldnt dress in the morning without pain that was bringing me to tears. I was sent for x-rays by another doctor and was diagnosed as having disc problems. I was referred to Dr. Mitchell Levine by a friend and he discovered a tumor in my spinal column. His nurse practitioner Keriann Tomlinson was instrumental in managing my pain and getting me ready for surgery. Se goes above and beyond any health care provider I have ever been treated by. Immediately I was scheduled for surgery. I was told by other people that had similar surgery that I would be out of commission for a long time after the surgery.... But Dr. Levine's procedure allowed me to get back on my feet immediately after the surgery with no physical therapy. I developed a rash because I didn't clean the incision site properly but Keriann treated it and it dissapeared in a few days. There's not enough space here to tell you how great the experience was and how awesome they all are.

I have worked in neurology for nearly 40 years. I recognized my pre-surgical symptoms so was uniquely able to rate my post-surgical symptoms. Simply put I feel like one of Dr. Levine's super successes. Most symptoms literally resolved within a week of the surgery and now, not 90 days out, I only have some fatigue. As I am closing in on 73, fatigue is a given. I could not be more pleased with the outcome of my surgery and the care I received at LHH was excellent.

Dr. Levine is nothing short of a miracle worker. My spine was in terrible shape, I couldn't really walk, and I was in a great deal of pain. After a 9 hour surgery by Dr. Levine (and an amazing surgical team, including Dr. Oren) - a world of improvement. Every step of the way, at every office visit, Dr. Levine and his PA, Keriann, went over recent tests, the treatment plan as well as post-op. All of my questions and concerns were always answered, never felt rushed at any visits. I would confidently recommend Dr. Levine to anyone, without hesitation.

This doctor is somewhat arrogant, too busy or unconcerned about devoting the appropriate time to a new patient. His PA also has an attitude issue. He may be a good surgeon but other things matter in a doctor/patient relationship.

My Fusion Exlif surgery was a total desaster 11/2013. He even told me the insurance company would turn me down because they said the procedure was not effective. I wish I would have listen. Don't ever do the EXLIF PROCEDURE. My back is worst than ever. I'm on medication all day. This doctor bed manners are the worst. He's all about the money!!!

Juan A Vazquez in Bayonne, New Jersey – Jan 29, 2016
I had a lamanectomy about 6 years ago. Dr Levine told me once I came down from surgery my pain would be gone,it was. This year I went back thinking I was having more problems with my back and that was not the case. Dr Levine suggested it might be my hip and recommend Dr Asnis. On November 23 I had a total left hip replacement. I appreciated his honesty and his choice of doctors.
