Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Cox "Im a vascular surgeon who sees a variety of patients including diabetics who are having circulation problems stroke survivors with blockages in their carotid arteries patients with aneurisms and dialysis patients. When working with patients I try to be as open and straightforward as possible. People who have a serious disease need to know whats going on in order to make appropriate decisions. There are many places where a patient receives quality care for everyday problems but if theres something unusual or if treatments have failed elsewhere I think Duke is a great place. The doctors here at Duke have a lot of experience with rare situations and advanced technologies available. Outside of work I like to spend time with my wife and two children play the banjo and work on antique cars."

I've been a Duke patient for years. Their prestigious reputation is deserving but, in my opinion, Dr. Cox tarnishes their reputation, tremendously. The majority of Duke physicians, I've met, were cordial and prioritized professionalism first. I've met Dr. Cox twice, initially to inquire about...Read More

After several surgeries in our hometown, our local hospital decided to amputate my wife's arm due to recurring blood clots. We sought another opinion which is when we met Dr. Cox. Not only did he save her from amputation but also fixed damage done from surgery other doctors had done. Now we're 3...Read More
