I am the eldest of 12 children. As such, my mother molded my interest in OBGYN from an early age. My younger sister is a Pediatrician. I am married to an Organic Chemist and we have 4 children. My eldest daughter lives in Seattle and is attending U Washington in their MD-PhD program. Our second daughter is applying to medical school currently and hopes to be a Pediatrician. Our son is a computer science engineer and our youngest daughter just completed her first year of college at WUSTL. I have practiced in OBGYN for over 25 years and I can say confidently that I still love delivering babies. I also have remained committed to the development and implementation of advances in gynecology. As such, I currently perform Total Laparoscopic hysterectomies and a variety of procedures for pelvic prolapse and incontinence. In 2009, I earned a Master's Degree in Medical Management and this has led to my involvement in a number of leadership roles in my medical community. I am the Team Stepps physician champion at our institution. This is a program to create safety for patients in the hospital. I am a member of the AIUM, ACOG and Society of Pelvic Surgery. I am a life long learner. I enjoy swimming, biking, running, hiking, skiing and and anything that involves health and fitness.
