Dr. Tanaka and her staff are wonderful! After almost a year of pain, I can say that I can see a full recovery in my future. Dr. Tanaka's approach of trying the least invasive procedures first, then proceeding to the least invasive surgery really made me comfortable in trusting her fully. Hopefully I won't need any orthopedic doctor's services in the future, but if I do, she's the only one I will call.

I did not want to have surgery, but when I met Dr. Tanaka, her calm, reassuring demeanor changed my mind. Not for one minute, even the day after surgery, have I regretted that decision. It has been wonderful returning to leading a normal life again and doing all the things I was incapable of doing before surgery. I am already recommending her to people and will continue whenever the situation arises. Thank you so, so much. You and your entire staff are truly the best!

Dr.Tanaka and her staff treated me with the utmost respect during the diagnostic and treatment process. Her assessment of my condition before surgery and what I could expect after recovery was accurate.
in Baltimore, MD |
Dr. Tanaka is nothing short of terrific! Every visit she listened to any and all symptoms I was experiencing (torn meniscus), cared about them & explained why/what could be causing that symptom. She took time to learn about previous athletic activities & managed expectations on when & what I had to do to return. When moving toward surgery she explained everything that would happen pre & post-op thoroughly and the outcomes I could see. She nailed the surgery and gave me the BEST outcome!!

I had a wonderful experience getting medical care from Dr. Tanaka. She is very experienced and knowledgeable about injuries among female athletes, so I was reassured that she would understand my goals for getting back to my sport and level of exercise. Her staff was patient and answered my questions thoroughly, and helped me figure out scheduling issues.

Exceptional Doctor, very knowledgeable and cares about her patients.
in Phoenix, MD |
Dr. Tanaka and her staff did an excellent job. They listened well, they were very clear on what they were going to do and what I could expect during surgery and recovery. They did an excellent job coordinating post op rehab. I couldn't be happier with the results.
in Parkville MD |
From the start of my visits to the end Dr Tanaka and her team have been great. They kept me informed, and we're always a phone call away when I needed them. The surgery is healing nicely, very minimal scaring if any which is great. She even hid the cuts in my tattoo!
